Bathroom ideas part 1
So after sharing my bathroom shame earlier in the week, I’ve been looking around for inspiration for what to do with it. As previously mentioned I haven’t much to spend – I don’t plan on moving anything around for example. I have a load of white brick tiles that Jill gave me, sitting under a cabinet in the living room for a year now, so they’ll be going on the walls. I’m not going to wallpaper, though I’m sorely tempted. But I am still contemplating a little bit of pattern.
See, doesn’t that subtle pattern on the floor look nice? They’re probably something dead fancy. The bathroom is the only room in my flat with a concrete floor, and in the interests of economy a vinyl floor is probably what I’m going to end up with. So finding these vinyl floor tiles, designed by Neisha Crosland for Harvey Maria, has got me tempted.
What do you think? Too girly? The rest of the room will be white most probably, with just the pale pink chest of drawers and my lovely pink-edged Deco mirror, so a greeny-blue floor is just what I was thinking of.
I also like these – less girly, very chic. But I’d have to inject some colour into the room with something else. The picture was, I believe, styled by Jill, many moons ago. Nice foliage. Tiles from Mira Colour.
As I mentioned, I’m building a set of inspiring pictures and products on Pinterest. They include a pink bathroom – so tempting, but probably not fair on the gent – a dark grey bathroom (am I brave enough? Doubt it) and a bathroom with a fab zig-zag floor. If you got a moment have a look-sie and tell me what you think… I promise, you haven’t heard the last of this.
