We’re making a speech!

January 21, 2013

Can you imagine? We’re on a panel talking about blogging at Interiors UK, the big interiors fair in Birmingham this week. We got together at the weekend for a practice. We’ve even put together a really rubbish PowerPoint presentation.

If you’re at the fair on Tuesday then do come along. The other members of the panel include Will from Bright Bazaar and Katie from Confessions of a Design Geek. And, we’ll be unveiling our one blogging secret… we think it might blow a few wigs off. We’d love to see you there.

If we (I) can’t make it down due to unforeseen circumstances will you be revealing your one secret on the blog after the event? I do hope so.

Thanks Carol, really nice of you to say so. Thanks for coming along and making us question it all.

Great seminar by you and fellow bloggers (BTW what do you call a group of bloggers, seriously.. a blaggel, a bloup? Kept spotting you all wandering the show together, snapping). Anyway, some seriously good tips (of course I thought I knew them all already, just miserable at putting into practice), but actually some top points: “start off with one social outlet and grow once mastered” – I’m too tempted by the new/better/easier not to try all others falling down because the next point. “Drip feed, 1 not 10″ – I have sporadic bursts when it’s convenient (must try harder to withhold). Regarding the actual “Business of Blogging” I do like your suggestion of Present and Correct as they manage to provide a strong feeling of unbiased suggestions at the same time of mixing their products. You could almost believe they didn’t sell only inform as they’ve done a good job of subtle shopping cart integration. Thanks for the help – Jim

Thanks Jim. Yes we found what the other bloggers had to say fascinating too, especially about social media platforms. Glad you found it useful too x
