Seeds of shame
Remember my garden Real Reveal of a few weeks ago? Interesting how debate raged (ahem) in the comments, over whether I was a sensitive respecter of Mother Nature’s plan, or a garden slattern, who’s land should be taken off her by the council. Somehow the most shame-stirring response was the most kind and generous.
Patricia from The Balcony Gardener sent me these, some of their seeds – so cutely packaged – to save for the spring. The unspoken suggestion was that I think hard from now until then about the neglect I’d inflicted on the soil. And so I will. Thanks Patricia. The seed packets will sit alongside the gorgeous packet from my friend Ellie’s wedding (they’re parceled in a Liberty print and printed with their married name and date) where I can see them and the sorry garden at the same time. And next spring, I’ll do everyone proud.
