Top of the Pop Ups
A while back I promised a comprehensive report on my findings from Clerkenwell Design Week then managed to mention just one designer from the show: David Saunders AKA David David. The company collaborated on this chair.
Well – news just in – there’s a David David pop up shop at The Lollipop Shoppe this month and I now have a few more facts about double-D to share. In the interest of time, let’s accompany them with pictures of what you can buy at the pop up shop starting with…

FACT: David graduated with a Fine Art degree and used to assist Tracey Emin and Mat Collishaw before he went over to the dark world of fashion.

FACT: M.I.A. and Kanye West are fans of David David (they have others too).
Nice Umbrellas.
FACT: Also taken with The Chair, the V&A invited David David to show work at its British Design 1948-2012 exhibition (celebrating 60 years of British design), which opens next spring.
