Drink, Shop & Do

September 16, 2010

Just back from attending an event at Drink, Shop & Do on the Caledonian Road. The event was Matthew Stinchcomb, Etsy founder, giving a talk about selling your wares online (like I, er, don’t). It was good, but a lack of seating led to some of the audience having to sit at his feet like a load of folky Dylan followers circa 1962. More exciting to me was the venue…

The vintage, crafty decor is housed in an old bath house in King’s Cross, complete with pillars and an ornate domed ceiling. Originally a pop-up shop, it’s now there for the long haul, offering drinks, cakes, talks and craft workshops that actually sound worth going to. They’ve got Mini Robot Wars on Friday. Awooga.

Drink, Shop, Do

It’s all brought to you by the delightful Kristie and Coralie, friends since secondary school. Ahhh.
